Planning of Preliminary Task

Hey all,
During this lesson of Media Studies, we had to produce, film and edit a 15-30 second clip of evidence, displaying how we use various effects and camera angles to display a short clip which runs fluently and fits together to produce a full, final teaser.

The areas which we're going to cover include:
  • Reverse Shot: During a conversation between two people.
  • 180 Degree Rule: When filming two actors, keeping the camera on one side of an imaginary line.
  • Match on Match Action: The cut from one shot to another should be smooth and continue the action being filmed.
Script
Action: Rich walks out the door, shooting the opening of the short clip, displaying the door opening and closing, close-ups and displaying editing techniques which will be applied later.
Action: Rich sits down on the bench.
Rich: You alright mate?
Nick: Alright gorgeous, what you upto tonight?
Rich: Nothing really babe, fancy coming to mine later?
Nick: Go on then, I'm always up for a good time.
Rich: Alright, cool! Si's in his car, let's go!
Action: Rich and Nick stands up and walk off towards the car park.

Within the given time period, Myself, Nick and Simon, managed to film the required clip from various angles, and we're ready to produce the required clip displaying the requirements requested.

And now, I just realised I didn't have to right this up, great!
Cya guys! xx
