Final Preliminary Task

This is the final practical pruduction video, it has been cut in a sequence in which the lecturer and exam board wanted, and covered all the required elements for this production.

Including:
  • Richard McCulloch (Door Man)
  • Nick Wills (Table Man)
  • Simon Rawrlings (Camera Man)
Equipment:
  • Recording Camera
  • Tripod
  • Final Cut Express
  • Clothes (Optional)

Locataion
  • College Grounds
The Preliminary Task video attempted to cover everything needed and required for the filming material.
The expected result was having a character opening a door, crossing a room and sitting down in a chair opposite another character, with whom he exchanges a couple of lines of dialogue.

The effects used during our filming included:
  • Shot/Reverse Shot - During the conversation between two people.
  • 180 Degree Rule - When filming two actors keep camera one side of an imaginary line.
  • Match on Match action - The cut from one shot to another should be smooth and continue the action being filmed.
We managed to successfully complete all the required tasks, although filming outdoors, we completed the task, showing our capabilities.
